SOUTH Australian architecture and interior design firm, Matthews Architects has made two new major senior appointments to its team.
Yvonne Rantzen was appointed to senior interior designer at the firm, bringing 25 years of design experience in sectors including education, commercial, health, care and residential.
“Matthews Architects is one of Adelaide’s premier architecture and interior design studios and I’m thrilled to join a talented team of professionals that are passionate about innovative design,” said Rantzen.
The award winning designer has served in previous senior positions across the country, with recent positions including interior design principal at Hames Sharley, Adelaide and senior associate and head of interiors at Conrad Gargett, Brisbane.
“I look forward to working with clients on the design journey, helping them to creatively bring spaces and projects to life,” added Rantzen.
Kevin Leek was appointed to the role of senior architect, following more than 25 years of both national and international experience, across sectors including healthcare, defence, commercial, education, retail, lifestyle and hospitality.
Leek was most recently working as senior architect and principal at DesignInc Adelaide, prior to which he was in the role of architect and associate at Cheesman Architects.
“Matthews Architects currently has a number of exciting projects underway and a strong pipeline of projects coming up, so we’re thrilled to further strengthen our architecture and design teams in response to this,” said Gerald Matthews, senior architect and managing director at the North Adelaide based firm.
