THE Property Council of Australia has promoted Jen Williams to the role of Queensland executive director.
Williams has been the PCA’s Queensland deputy executive director for the past six years and will take over from Chris Mountford, who will take on the position of chief executive of Independent Schools Queensland next month.
Property Council chief executive Ken Morrison said he was delighted to be able to promote Williams into the role.
“Jen has the policy smarts, leadership skills, government networks and industry respect that will make her a huge success in the role.
“Most recently Jen has led our Fridays in the City initiative, partnering with Brisbane City Council, business groups and property owners to activate Brisbane CBD following the COVID-19 pandemic,” he added.
Williams said she was excited by the opportunities ahead for Queensland.
“City-shaping projects already underway, like Cross River Rail and Queens Wharf, combined with a boost in interstate migration and positive industry sentiment, provide a solid foundation for the industry to leverage.
“Property has a critical role to play in shaping the future of our state. I am excited to be taking on a position to help set the agenda and influence the policy settings that will allow our industry to thrive,” she concluded.
