CBRE Hotels has bolstered its Pacific Capital Markets team with the appointment of industry stalwart Vasso Zographou.
Zographou brings more than 30 years’ experience and was most recently a director at Savills Hotels. Prior to that he was executive vice-president and chief financial officer, Asia Pacific, for the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group (now Radisson Hotel Group), partner of Horwath Sydney Chartered Accountants and joint managing director of Horwath HTL Australia.
CBRE Hotels managing director Michael Simpson said Zographou would be responsible for hotels and leisure investment transactions as well as a wide range of advisory services.
“Vasso brings decades of experience across transactions of all sizes, including sales of existing hotels and development projects,” Simpson said. “He is regarded by clients as a trusted adviser who couples his tenacious transaction skills with experience in hotel due diligence, operator selection, asset management and via his roles as a receiver and manager in the 90’s and early millennium on most of Australia’s major distressed hotels. These broad skills will be a differentiator for our Hotels business in the current climate.”
Zographou is the latest in a series of high-profile recruits to join CBRE Hotels, following the appointments of former Savills Hotels managing director Michael Simpson, Savills Hotels director Raymond Tran and JLL Hotels vice president Tom Gibson.
