ANDREA Staines has been appointed as a non-executive director of ASX-listed valuation group LMW, which is looking to move on from a dramatic period.
She is currently on the boards of ASX-listed SeaLink Travel, NZX-listed Freightways, UnitingCare and NDIS agency, NDIA.
Her former board roles include Tourism Australia, QIC, ASX-listed Aurizon, Australian Rail Track Corporation, Gladstone Ports, North Queensland Airports, Goodstart Early Learning and ASX-listed Early Learning Services.
She is also a former chief executive officer of Qantas subsidiary Australian Airlines, which she co-launched, and was a member of the Qantas executive leadership team.
Before joining Qantas, Staines worked in financial and strategy roles with American Airlines at their Dallas headquarters.
LMW’s revenue fell and the group reported a net loss of $15.14 million for FY19, down from a $4.14 million profit the previous year, after it was discovered client data confidentiality was compromised. Former CEO Chris Coonan resigned shortly afterwards.
The group said expects to return to profitable trading from quarter two in FY20.
