WATPAC has been awarded the $75 million construction contract for the new Australian Hearing Hub to be built at Sydney’s Macquarie University.
The Australian Hearing Hub will be a unique, world-class facility, purpose-designed to facilitate collaborative research into hearing and related speech and language disorders. And it will also provide additional teaching and learning scope for students in Hearing, Audiology and Language sciences.
The six-storey building will feature approximately 20,000 sqm of net lettable space, and two levels of basement car parking catering for over 300 vehicles.
Other shared facilities will include meeting and conference rooms, information technology spaces, teaching rooms, a library and a café.
Managing director Greg Kempton said this project also provides another opportunity for Watpac to showcase its skills and aptitude.
