THE Local Government Super has won the coveted environmental honours at the Australian Property Institute (NSW) Excellence in Property Awards for 2012.
LGS’s office building, Carnegie Morgan Hill House at 120 Sussex St Sydney won the Capstone Recruitment Environmental Award for its “various sustainability features and achievements, in addition to the well-executed design and development of the project,” according to API judges.
LGS was also recognised for its office tower at 76 Berry St North Sydney, which received a Highly Commended recognition in the category.
API judges said the building was “a fantastic new benchmark in environmental and sustainable standards for both new and existing properties, with other buildings already adopting the same technologies”.
Westfield also received multiple accolades, with its Westfield Sydney project winning the BEM Property Consultants Property Development Awards and being Highly Commended in the Environmental Award.
The Mirvac and Investa Office Fund was Highly Commended for 20 Bond St in the Property Development Award.
CBRE took out the DEXUS Property Group Property Valuation Award for the second consecutive year, with regional director David Bruce-Clarke the winner for his valuation report on the Uniting Care Ageing Portfolio in NSW/ACT.
