LOUIS Christopher’s SQM Research has bought the Adviser Edge property research business, which he is the head of research.
Christopher was instrumental in the inception of the business in 2006.
The agreement to sell the property research business includes an arrangement that will see Christopher’s company SQM Research Pty Ltd mandated to complete property research for Adviser Edge and alliance partner van Eyk Research, for the foreseeable future.
Adviser Edge has developed a strong reputation in the property investment market, where it covers global and domestic property securities funds, mortgage funds, hybrid funds, direct property funds and syndicates.
“There is no change to the ratings process or the time schedule of sector reviews and I will retain my role as head of property. Effectively, the change is that I wish to be tied to this industry and I am excited to be able to do that, especially given the quality of the partners I work with in the form of Adviser Edge, van Eyk and our dealer group clients,” Christopher concluded.
