DWELLING unit approvals fell 3.7% in August to 12,095 units, following a fall of 2.4% in July, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
Total dwelling approvals are now 8.6% below last year.
The month of August reported falls in private sector houses will declined 0.8% following a fall of 3.3% in July. Other dwellings unit approved slipped 7.8% in August following a fall of 3.1% in July.
Meanwhile, the value of total building approved fell 12.6% in August.
