Melbourne’s North Link, the organisation overseeing local, state and federal government decisions affecting its northern suburbs, has appointed Gerry Neylan as its new chair following the decision by Chris Heysen to step down step down after eight years.
Neylan has taken on several new roles this year, replacing Tony West as Manager, Property Development at Melbourne Airport, and also joining the Hume Economic Development Committee.
Neylan has a wide and diverse background in property, particularly design and construction of major developments, having worked with leading architects and planners, Peddle Thorp, construction company Baulderstone Hornibrook and KPMG.
The northern region of Melbourne is undergoing a development boom with a surge in commercial and residential development, and Neylan’s background and role at Melbourne Airport complements his appointment as North Link Chair.
Chris Heysen will remain on the North Link Board and continue his long standing commitment to the development and growth of the northern region and its industrial base.
