DWELLING commencements fell 3.3% in the March quarter following an increase of 4.2% in the December quarter.
According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, 38,811 units were started in the quarter.
New private sector house commencements fell 6.0% in the March quarter, this follows an increase of 5.7% in the December quarter.
Meanwhile, new private sector other residential building rose 3.0% following a revised fall of 1.8%.
