Watpac’s chairman Kevin Seymour said the development would incorporate 235 additional marina berths, a new state-of-the-art secure dry storage facility with capacity for 200 boats, a new tourist terminal, a 50% increase in trailer parking capacity, additional car parking spaces, additional boat ramps, and new facilities for Government agencies and the Volunteer Marine Rescue.
It is estimated that 650 jobs will be directly created during the construction of the project with a further 480 jobs indirectly created for the region.
