TRINITY's longstanding non-executive director Patrick Corby has resigned ahead of the group's annual general meeting and Richard Friend has been appointed as his replacement.
Friend will also Chair Trinity’s Compliance Audit and Risk Management Committee.
Friend has served on the board of partners of Ernst & Young Australia following the merger of Andersen and Ernst & Young and is currently a consultant to the board of Conics Limited.
Friend was formerly a Technical Consultant for property group Babcock & Brown and previously head of technical Services at Goldman Sachs JBW Private Wealth Management.
He brings specialist knowledge in taxation advice, having also previously held positions as Managing Partner of Andersen in Brisbane for nine years and then at Ernst & Young as Head of Tax and National Technical Leader, Private Client Tax.
“Richard’s previous involvement with top-tier finance and property organisations demonstrates high-level financial acumen and strong involvement in progressive strategy and corporate governance,” Trinity’s chairman Keith DeLacy said.
