COLLIERS has appointed Scott Orchard as the new national director of office capital markets & investment services in Victoria.
Orchard joins from CBRE in Melbourne and brings over 20 years’ experience in commercial real estate industry, particularly in the capital markets.
His recent achievements include over $100,000,000 in unconditional city fringe and metropolitan office sales within a 10-week period in Spring 2024, across five deals despite challenged market conditions, helping to maintain his strong market share presence in the sector over the past seven years.
Colliers’ office capital markets managing director Matthew Meynell said Orchard will play a pivotal role within our Victorian team, as he will help drive and lead the collaboration between office capital markets and the investment services experts, following the recent team merger under the national leadership.
“His expertise in the office sector will be crucial as we enhance our capabilities and expand our presence across all Melbourne metro markets. Additionally, in his new role, Scott will lead the restructuring property services offering in Victoria, further boosting Colliers’ success in this specialisation.
“His extensive experience and proven track record in the office sector will be invaluable in adding further fire power to an already dominant office leasing and sales team across the Metropolitan markets in Victoria,” said Rob Joyes, Victorian state chief executive.
Orchard said he was excited to Colliers.
“The opportunity to lead and expand the restructuring property services offering in Victoria is also exciting, particularly as some parts of the market continue to face headwinds despite improved sentiment,” he concluded.
