KNIGHT Frank has appointed a new partner and head of investment sales, Victoria, with Tom Ryan returning to the firm after for years to step into the position.
Ryan brings more than 20 years of experience in commercial real estate, having worked across all asset types for government, institutional and private clients in Victoria, South Australia and the Northern Territory.
“Knight Frank forecasts that the commercial property market will start to recover next year, with many investors ready to act, if they haven’t already become active again,” said Victoria Dominic Long, managing director at Knight Frank.
“We are excited to welcome Tom back to Knight Frank, and look forward to a strong year ahead. Not only is Tom familiar with many of our people and how we operate, but he will bring with him more than two decades of experience to lead the Investment Sales team.”
In his previous six and a half years at Knight Frank, Ryan worked his way up to director of capital markets in Melbourne.
He is returning to Knight Frank after spending the last four years at CBRE as director of capital markets, where he led a number of major metropolitan office transactions.
“I’m looking forward to being able to work with the national Capital Markets teams, as well as to collaborate with multiple other business lines, at what I believe is an exciting period of change for Knight Frank Australia, particularly in Victoria,” said Ryan.
“The market momentum in Melbourne continues to build, with a growing number of transactions, and we expect activity to be bolstered next year as the market moves in the right direction.”
