REAL Asset Management (RAM) has appointed a specialist portfolio manager in James Chapman to meet the growing demand for income-focused solutions.
Chapman, private credit specialist, joins RAM from Aura Funds Management where he was an investment associate in private credit.
“Demand for reliable income streams, particularly those with premiums over inflation, is expected to grow as we transition from one economic cycle to the next. However, it’s essential for investors to remember that not all income strategies involve the same level of risk,” said Scott Kelly, group CEO at RAM.
“RAM’s disciplined risk management approach has been central to our consistent performance. I’m pleased to welcome James at this opportune time to further strengthen our credit capabilities and continue delivering value for our investors.”
Chapman will report to Michael Frearson, director and head of fixed income.
“With demand for reliable income solutions on the rise, managers who prioritise transparency, diversification, and risk management will stand out. I’m excited to join the team and look forward to contributing to RAM’s continued growth,” said Chapman.
