PRDnationwide and Colliers International have jointly sold a vacant site in Ormeau, Queensland for $1.35 million.
Tim Piper from Colliers International and Dewayne Montey, from the former PRDnationwide Gold Coast Corporate office, negotiated the sale of an approved childcare and retail development site at 1 Arthur Way, Ormeau.
The 3,210 sqm vacant property was secured by Robert Fraser-Scott with development approval for a 75-child centre plus 533 sqm of retail space.
Fraser-Scott plans to commence construction shortly and also owns two successful Coomera-based pubs – the Boathouse Tavern and Lost City Tavern.
Piper, representing vendor Methorn Pty Ltd associated with Paul Thynne, said during the four week marketing campaign more than 70 enquires, including those from all major child care groups, were received.
“The site is in a key location near the future Ormeau town centre, on a high-traffic corner in the burgeoning Brisbane/Gold Coast residential corridor.” he added.
Montey said the purchaser was looking for a suitable site for several months.
“The centre will be managed by the purchaser and it is due to open in time for next years intake of children,” Dewayne said.
Meanwhile, Colliers International, has reshuffled its commercial property team on the Gold Coast.
Leonie Smith, previously Property Services Director at PRDnationwide, now heads the 24-member team of commercial property specialists, making it the largest of its field in the region, as agency director.
Under Smith’s management is industry stalwart Brad Johnston, now leading the major commercial investment division, Richard Impiombato helming industrial property, Darrell Irwin and Don Dietz heading up Special Projects. Smith will also manage leasing office and retail space.
The final change involves James Bellew who has relocated from Colliers International Parramatta office to manage the newly created valuation division on the Gold Coast.
