TWO new agents have joined Knight Frank in NSW from Cushman & Wakefield, taking up important positions within the state’s industrial and logistics team.
Orlando Maciel has been appointed as partner, head of industrial logistics, NSW, while Matt Chambers has joined Knight Frank as associate director, industrial logistics, NSW.
They have previously held roles at Cushman & Wakefield, JLL, Savills and Colliers.
Maciel has worked in the industry for 25 years, most currently as head of industrial NSW at Cushman & Wakefield, while Chambers has been in the industry for 10 years, most currently as manager industrial and logistics at Cushman & Wakefield.
“The experience of these skilled operators will enable us to harness opportunities across our NSW and national industrial logistics business as we continue to focus on growing our footprint in this critical and evolving sector,” said Knight Frank national head of industrial logistics James Templeton.
Knight Frank managing director NSW & ACT, Paul Roberts, said, “Their skillset and personalities fit perfectly with the team culture we try to cultivate throughout our business and we look forward to welcoming them to Knight Frank”.
Maciel said he was excited to lead Knight Frank’s industrial team in New South Wales, and work with the real estate consultancy’s teams around Australia to service clients nationally.
“We already have a solid industrial team and I look forward to continuing to grow the team with further appointments over the coming months.”
Chambers said he anticipates a “steady rise in rents due to Sydney’s extremely low vacancy of less than 1%, compounded by the delays in developments within the Aerotropolis.
“This will result in an increased demand in short-term overflow space to accommodate the peak season.
“I look forward to utilising connections with both institutional and private clients to unlock and capitalise on opportunities for Knight Frank.”
Knight Frank has also recently appointed Henri Thorsen as sales & leasing executive, industrial sales and leasing in Queensland, and Daniel Barr-Waanders, who has joined in Victoria as analyst, industrial sales and leasing.
