DEXUS has appointed ONE PM GROUP to provide project management and superintendent services for the next phase of its $2.5 billion Waterfront Brisbane development.
Dexus’s Waterfront Brisbane project is set to the Eagle Street Pier and waterfront Place Precinct Site and will make room for two new office towers on the Brisbane CBD gateway site, with confirmed tenants including Deloitte, Minter Ellison, Gadens and Colliers.
The project will also include transformed retail and public space, activation of the river and improvements of the riverwalk.
ONE PM GROUP will join John Holland Group, working to ensure the development is delivered on time and within budget.
“Waterfront Brisbane is a city-shaping project, and our team is honoured to be representing Dexus and working with John Holland as they bring it to life. Securing this role is testament to the work ONE PM GROUP. has put in over the past few years,” said Peter Ward, founder and managing director of ONE PM GROUP.
“We’ve been building and growing and refining our craft, individually and as a company, and this shows that we’ve taken the right steps to get there.”
The first stage of a five-year construction phase of the development began in January, with the Eagle Street Pier building now removed and work now underway below ground level.
“It’s inspiring that Dexus’ values align with the way that ONE PM GROUP. naturally functions on a day-to-day basis,” said James Davidson, director at ONE PM GrOUP.
“It allows us to confidently foster strong working relationships with the Dexus delivery team and take pride in the outcomes that we achieve together.”
Dexus recently reported a $1.184 billion devaluation of its portfolio, with the major office tower landlord swinging to a full-year loss of $752.7 million.
ONE PM GROUP recent expansion into a new Brisbane office means the group will be on-hand for the development.
“With Waterfront Brisbane, we’re ready to prove the calibre of our unique approach to project management and guide the delivery of a once-in-a-generation project,” concluded Ward.
