THE South Australian government has given the greenlight to the joint venture between CIC Australia and Urban Renewal Authority, to incorporate an adjoining parcel of land, previously the Ross Smith Secondary School site.
The development of this site will provide for a community facility, up to 162 residential blocks and four commercial blocks within the “Lightsview” development.
The extension of the JV covers a further 11.27 ha of adjacent land at the infill suburb of Northgate just 8 kms from Adelaide’s CBD. The existing JV was originally established following CIC’s successful expression of interest bid in 2006.
The project is forecast for completion in 2019 when more than 5,000 residents will occupy more than 2,500 new homes.
