Private financier Payton Capital has scored a major recruitment coup with the appointment of Michael Golinelli as head of credit.
Golinelli brings significant experience across banking and finance, having worked both domestically and internationally during his tenure at ANZ Bank. Most recently, he led the lending services property team in Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Business (Banking and Finance) and a Bachelor of Laws, and is admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of Queensland.
Craig Schloeffel, co-head of Payton Capital, said this newly created role emphasises Payton Capital’s continued growth following its acquisition by ASX-listed alternative asset manager HMC Capital.
“The creation of this role is an integral part of our strategic plans as we build out our private credit platform under HMC Capital. Michael’s appointment will play a key role in enhancing and maintaining our credit risk management capabilities, which are fundamental to the success of our business.
“We are confident that Michael’s leadership will further strengthen our position in the market,” he added.
Since the acquisition by HMC Capital, Payton Capital has significantly expanded, opening a new office on the Gold Coast and establishing a presence in Western Australia, in addition to its offices in Victoria, New South Wales and Brisbane.
