SOON after ASX-listed Centuria took out a half-share in its business, next-generation cloud service provider ResetData, has announced four senior appointments to its Sydney and Melbourne operations as the business readies itself to rollout CBD “AI factory” data centres across Australia.
Centuria made the $21 million investment play in August to provide capital for ResetData to expand its operations. ResetData delivers liquid-immersion cooled (LIC), high-density, low-latency, CBD AI factory locations.
As part of the deal, ResetData will take a 10-year lease at Centuria’s 818 Bourke Street, with LIC technology allowing for a tier 3 data centre with a capacity of up to 1.5 megawatts to be built within the office asset – providing a boost in value at a transitional time for the office market.
Leading the senior appointments is Rodolf Salem, who has been appointed chief operating officer bringing circa 25 years’ international experience from blue-chip banking and fintech institutions including Westpac, Lygon, HSBC, MF Global, Unilever, and Shell. Salem is at the helm of ResetData’s CBD AI factory rollout, and is also responsible for overseeing procurement, staffing and all corporate service functions. He will be based in the company’s Sydney office.
Joining the Melbourne office is the new director of product engineering, Brett Kennedy, who has more than 30 years’ experience in customer-focused technology solutions for the banking, finance, and telecommunications sectors. He is responsible for overseeing ResetData’s product development, launch and customer success as its GPU and cloud capabilities expand.
Kennedy has held senior positions with The Access Group, NAB, Oracle, and Optus.
He is supported by Daniel Apps, who joins as hybrid solutions architect based in Sydney. Apps brings 20 years’ experience and will be responsible for delivering tailored hybrid cloud solutions required to unlock new AI capabilities. He is a global speaker on hyper-converged infrastructure and Microsoft Azure cloud. Previously, he held similar senior positions with Fusion5 and Vigilant.IT.
Overseeing the national marketing-communication operations for ResetData is Sydney-based Stuart Buxton, who joins as head of marketing. His two decades of marketing experience includes time with technology leaders Dell, Verizon and Panasonic.
Bass Salah, ResetData joint CEO the company is “at a critical growth point” in its evolution.
“As our company expands, delivering faster, cost-effective and sustainable cloud-based computing solutions to Australian businesses, it is essential to meet this growth with avant-garde expertise,” he said.
“We are confident we have the right personnel in the right place at the right time to end 2024 on a high and be ready for further growth in 2025.”
