CONSTRUCTION work is set to begin on Jinding’s new community in Victoria’s Kilmore, with national civil construction company Winslow appointed to commence major earthworks.
The site works at the 60-hectare parcel will start this month and include the extension of Tootle Street, with civil works also commencing on the project’s first and second stages. Construction of homes is expected to begin in mid-2025.
Lots priced from $360,000 remain available in Broadstead’s second stage.
Broadstead’s construction works will carry out over $100 million worth of infrastructure upgrades, including an extension to McIvors Road, sewer and drainage infrastructure to service the precinct, shared cycling and walking paths as well as the preservation of native vegetation at Quinns Road Reserve.
Broadstead’s masterplan will ultimately deliver 11 hectares of natural open space.
“The commencement of construction works at Broadstead provides confidence to our many purchasers that this new community is moving ahead,” said Jinding’s general manager of developments, Andrew Ashwood said.
“The start of construction also signals growth for historic Kilmore, giving more people the opportunity to live the idyllic country lifestyle in this serene part of the world.
Jinding appointed Winslow following successful work together on Jinding’s Wollert community on Melbourne’s northern outskirts.
