FRASERS Property Australia has appointed builder Grindley Construction to deliver the commercial gym and pool, community centre and central park at its Midtown MacPark community.
Completion of the amenities is expected in late 2025.
The spaces will join the already completed road network, Shrimptons Creek bridge, social enterprise cafe and Soul and MAC Residences apartment buildings, which have welcomed their first residents this year, including the 130-unit affordable housing component.
The Village Green central park will feature plantings of mature trees, landscaped amphitheatre and grassed open space, designed by landscape architects McGregor Coxall.
Overlooking the Village Green, will be the user-pays gym and 25-metre pool, along with an adjoining community centre, designed by architect CHROFI.
A 750-student state primary school and two childcare centres were recently announced to be delivered within Midtown MacPark.
Scott Clohessy, development director, Frasers Property Australia said the community spaces will provide new ways for residents to connect with neighbours as well as friends and family, in addition to opportunities for its 1,400 new residents to meet through regular coffee catch-ups, walks and events.
Additional future amenities for Midtown MacPark include walking paths along a revitalised Shrimptons Creek corridor, pocket parks, a car share scheme, in addition to cafes, restaurants and retail stores.
The community is within walking distance of the new Macquarie Park metro station, which later this year will allow users to commute into the CBD within 20 minutes without changing trains.
The limited number of completed apartments available within Soul and MAC Residences range in price from $735,000 to $821,000 for a one-bedroom unit to $981,000 to $1,086,000 for a two-bedroom and $1,983,000 for a three-bedroom apartment.
