PROPERTY developer Oreana has appointed Nicholas Corp to oversee the group’s commercial construction business, with a focus on large format retail.
Oreana managing director Tony Sass said Nicholas and his team would enable Oreana to expand its integrated development-and-delivery approach in the commercial sector, with the model having yielded positive results for its residential and early education projects.
With a decade of experience, Corp joins Oreana as its new head of commercial construction to oversee the delivery of a commercial pipeline worth more than $955 million Gross Realisation Value (GRV).
“His appointment enables us to replicate the developer-builder model we have successfully implemented in our early education and residential divisions, in commercial. By creating win-win relationships internally between these teams we’ve seen a lot of positive benefits,” said Sass.
Corp said he was excited to expand on Oreana’s legacy of construction delivery and scale it to service Oreana’s significant commercial development pipeline.
“It is rare to get the opportunity to build a new commercial construction team with a solid pipeline to start with. To build and scale this offering alongside such a strong and experienced leadership team at Oreana is truly exciting,” Corp said. “Construction is ever evolving, and I am looking forward to introducing new technologies and systems to create an efficient way of working that delivers commercially for Oreana and culturally for our team.”
