JLL is set to partner up with TAFE NSW under a new government contract to oversee $104 million in capital works on campuses across the state.
JLL’s NSW Project and Development Services was awarded the contract that will involve a range of campus upgrades and improvements for students and staff across the network.
“JLL PDS and TAFE Infrastructure NSW are working collaboratively to successfully deliver $104 million of asset replacements to improve facilities for TAFE NSW students across campuses throughout New South Wales,” said Anthony Meola, NSW state manager of PDS at JLL.
“This program of works is aimed at upgrading and improving the standard of facilities and providing students with a modernised, streamlined, operational environment designed to facilitate an enhanced student experience.”
The asset replacement program comprises 16 works packages and will cover painting, flooring, heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems and fire protection systems.
“It is great to partner with JLL again this year in delivery of the Asset Renewal Program. JLL’s dedicated delivery team and cutting edge reporting platforms have allowed TAFE NSW to seamlessly deliver this large program of works in a live environment within tight timeframes all whilst maintaining high levels of safety across the delivery of works,” said Sean McKeon, investment program director – asset renewal programs at TAFE Infrastructure NSW.
With JLL to manage electrical distribution board upgrades, solar replacements, and LED lighting across all campuses.
While more significant works will include roof replacements, lift replacements and an array of civil and general building works.
“It’s really all about improving the student experience. The replacement of critical infrastructure will lead to a more comfortable learning environment and focus on remediation to the customer facing areas to create a space students can feel secure and thrive in,” said Kristin Harris, senior project manager of PDS at JLL.
“So, while the focus is essentially on the students, we will also be looking at improving services, including things such as electrical distribution board upgrades, solar replacements and LED lighting, and ensuring consistency of design across all campuses.”
