LAWD has appointed commercial property specialist Henry Sayers to head up the group’s industrial expansion.
Sayers in a qualified lawyer who has achieved multiple sales and leases across the industrial sector, including the sale of land at Trinity Clyde, an 81.2-hectare property comprising three connected landholdings from three vendors, which sold for more than $100 million.
Sayers’ appointment comes after LAWD’s sale of a major industrial site at 90 Handford Lane, Officer, in Melbourne’s growing southeast corridor.
“Henry’s appointment will ensure exposure to a large and diverse audience of vendors and buyers, including institutional investors and international stakeholders,” said Peter Sagar, senior director at LAWD.
“He is a commercially astute business and relationship expert specialising in all facets of industrial property in Melbourne’s southeast and is renowned for his ability to negotiate and structure transactions that benefit both selling and buying parties.”
LAWD was established in 2020 and offers services across agribusiness, development transactions and valuation services.
“I have substantial experience in land sales, off-the-plan developments, existing developments, institutional leasing, englobo land sales and the sale and leasing of existing warehouses, and I am excited to apply LAWD’s detailed and bespoke approach to marketing industrial properties,” said Sayers.
“There is a gap here that LAWD will fill by tweaking the company’s proven approach for residential development and rolling it out in the industrial marketplace. I’m very happy to have joined a fast-growing, nationally recognised and internationally connected brand and look forward to maximising the success of this new venture.”
