GLOBAL property services firm JLL is undertaking a “significant” revamp of its NSW retail leasing division with a strategic new appointment, as it splits its project and government work from its growing managed portfolio.
To strengthen its leasing capabilities, JLL NSW retail has welcomed Vanessa DiMauro as the new associate director. She will lead the leasing efforts for the managed portfolio assets across all of NSW.
JLL’s head of retail – NSW, Kate Strickland said, “We are thrilled to have Vanessa join our team. Her extensive experience and enthusiasm for retail leasing will further elevate our services and strengthen our position as a leader in the industry”.
Meanwhile, Mike Antarakis will continue to spearhead the project leasing, CBD brokerage, and the mandates for Transport for NSW.
Strickland said, “JLL remains dedicated to the importance of specialised management when it comes to retail planning, retailer selection, and lease negotiations. By focusing on the long-term positioning and total growth of its dominant sub-regional shopping centre sector, JLL is committed to achieving best practice standards for its clients.
“Our specialised approach ensures that each asset has dedicated specialists who excel in risk management, operational excellence, sustainability, governance, and retail leasing.”
JLL has experienced a 40% growth in assets under management over the past two years.
