JLL has appointed Australian academic and leading ESG expert, Dr Georgia Warren-Myers, as its head of ESG value and risk advisory for the Asia Pacific region.
Warren-Myers will bring extensive knowledge of sustainability and real estate to JLL’s Asia Pacific business, with the JLL ESG risk team better able to provide holistic risk and value advice to its clients.
“Georgia’s background in valuation, asset management, investment, planning, urban development, and sustainable construction adds a unique perspective to the JLL team,” said Dale Winfield, head of value and risk advisory.
“As an Associate Professor in Property at The University of Melbourne, Georgia’s research has focused on a wide variety of commercial real estate and housing, with a particular emphasis on climate change, risk assessment, sustainability, and housing affordability.”
The appointment of Warren-Myers will expand the JLL risk analytics capability in both Australia and the broader Asia Pacific.
“Working closely with clients she will deliver strategies to upgrade and reposition assets to meet ESG targets and provide perspective on the value and risk implications,” said Tyrone Hodge, global head of risk advisory at JLL.
“Georgia’s incredible expertise and passion for the property industry are valuable assets that will greatly benefit our clients and further strengthen our team’s capabilities.”
The team utilises data-driven insights on net zero carbon and climate risk in a portfolio scenario analysis format, combining current value, existing and projected sustainability performance, cost of transition, and future value.
JLL recently expanded its South Australian capital markets team with two new appointments in Ben Parkinson and Jack O’Leary.
