JLL has a new-look industrial team in Victoria that will be headed up by former CBRE recruit James Jorgensen.
Jorgensen will take on the role of head of logistics and industrial – Victoria and work alongside Ben Hegerty, who is head of logistics and industrial, capital markets – Australia.
Jorgensen previously headed up CBRE’s industrial team, a position he held for four years. He was at CBRE for a total of 13 years and a prominent agent in the Victorian industrial market.
“I am excited to be joining JLL at this time to further develop the industrial platform, which includes our leasing team along with our industrial capital markets and industrial occupier services businesses.
“The leaders of these departments share a vision that there is a better and more collaborative way of doing things for the future. We are now tasked with the exciting responsibility to deliver on this vision, which will give our clients a superior level of service and our teams a more connected culture, which will ultimately result in sustained success,” he said.
JLL head of industrial and logistics – Australia, Peter Blade said, “James has extensive experience in the Victorian property market, where he is highly regarded as a market leading agent and building and running successful agency teams.
“He will continue to focus on providing transactional advice to facilitate negotiations and enable optimal outcomes for occupiers and property owners, whilst driving a market leading team.”
Additional new appointments to the team also being announced include:
- Joel Scully, director, logistics and industrial capital markets (national)
- Lachlan Ferguson, director, logistics and industrial (Victoria)
- Jack Kelliher, director, logistics and industrial capital markets (national)
- Ned Murphy, senior executive, logistics and industrial (Victoria)
JLL Victoria managing director Craig Shute said the industrial sector continues to be an attractive asset class to investors.
