NICK Hunt has been appointed as Centuria Capital Group’s new general manager of Western Australia, as the group continues to grow across the state.
Hunt has 20 years of experience in the property industry working across workplace leadership, transactions and best in class asset management, having held similar positions at 151 Property and Charter Hall.
Hunt will report to Jason Huljich, joint CEO at Centuria, and work closely with Victor Georos, head of portfolio and asset management.
“We warmly welcome Nick into the Centuria fold. He brings a wealth of experience across the Perth and wider WA markets and is well known in the industry. Nick has a reputable track record in property services as well as capital and leasing transactions,” said Huljich.
“As the WA team has grown to c.70 personnel since merging with Centuria in 2021, and the retail divisions have grown collectively to $3.27Billion1, we have taken the opportunity to split the Head of Retail and WA General Manager roles across two very highly regarded property stalwarts. This is the next phase of our regional development.”
Bruce McCully previously held dual roles of head of retail and WA general manager, with Hunt now in the position McCully will be able to focus on Centuria’s large format retail (LFR) and daily needs retail (DNR) platforms throughout Australia
“Bruce was the lynchpin for the Primewest integration with Centuria and by handing over the operational reigns to Nick, Centuria is in a better position to keep up the pace of growth across the region and in particular the retail sector,” added Huljich.
Centuria merged with Perth-based real estate funds manager, Primewest Group in 2021, enabling the group to expand into LFR, DNR and agriculture, while also growing its industrial, office and healthcare portfolios.
Centuria now has more than $21 billion of assets under management throughout Australia and New Zealand, as of 31 March 2023.
