LEGAL practice Colin Biggers & Paisley is working with Amber Property Group on its flagship $250 million mixed-use development in Geelong.
Colin Biggers & Paisley’s leading planning partner David Passarella is advising Amber Property Group on the Cunningham Place project at 35 Corio Street in Geelong, which is set to transform the waterfront of Victoria’s second largest city.
The precinct will comprise a 5,000sqm conference facility with a 650-seat auditorium, a supermarket, 168-room hotel, restaurants, co-working office space and residential apartments.
“We were delighted to work with Geoff Brady, Rachael Brady and Jevan Clay and the broader Amber team on this landmark development in one of Victoria’s fastest growing corridors,” said Passarella, head of Colin Biggers & Paisley’s Melbourne planning infrastructure and environment group.
“We enjoy working with and supporting developers to deliver quality projects across the eastern seaboard, and with our experienced property and construction teams, provide an end-to-end solution to developers as they plan, create and build communities.”
The team headed by Passarella are representing Amber’s interests before the Advisory Committee for the Greater Geelong Planning Scheme Amendment C431 and providing strategic planning advice for the planning permit application in the lead up to the development approval by the Minister for Planning.
“Geelong as a city has been gaining momentum as an investment hub in recent years. It’s both exciting and rewarding to deliver large-scale development that will transform Geelong and support the local economy and community,” said Jevan Clay, COO of Amber Property Group.
The Melbourne property and planning infrastructure and environment teams have also recently worked on a $280 million build-to-rent project for Pellicano, a $170 million residential hotel for DCF Property, and numerous other large scale mixed use projects in Melbourne’s CBD.
