JLL has recruited Matt Brunsdon to lead its new logistics and industrial sales and leasing team in Western Australia.
Matt joins from Charter Hall, where he spent eight years in industrial asset management and property management for the WA and South Australia markets.
As the new head of logistics and industrial (WA), he is joined by director Brett Mathanda who is returning to JLL after working for the WA state government and associate director Chris Monterosso who is joining from CBRE.
Meanwhile executive, Luke Schreier and analyst, Paige Palmer, have been promoted to add to the team’s expertise, which includes sales and leasing brokerage, to advising businesses operating in the logistics and industrial sectors in Perth.
JLL’s national head of logistics and industrial Peter Blade said the new team will enhance the firm’s I&L platform.
The launch of the new team comes at an exciting time for the logistics and industrial sectors in Perth. With an increasing number of businesses looking to expand their operations and take advantage of the city’s strategic location and strong economic growth, the demand for high-quality logistics and industrial spaces is set to continue to rise.
“Having a truly connected team with a sophisticated understanding of industrial assets, market dynamics and access to national and global tenants will greatly benefit our clients in this high demand market and I couldn’t be more excited to have them on board.”
“Having worked with both Matt and Brett previously, I know the immense value they will add for our clients across both sales and leasing transactions. In conjunction with the experience Chris brings to JLL, we present a highly skilled new unit with comprehensive experience across all industrial corridors. Additionally, I am very pleased to be able to promote two internal candidates in Luke and Paige, who live and breathe JLL’s culture and values,” JLL’s WA managing director Angelo Amara said.
“Securing Matt to lead our team into its next evolutionary phase is a massive coup for the firm. His knowledge and connectivity through both the institutional and private investor landscape are both exceptional and he embodies the collegiate spirit that remains the key point of difference for our business. Matt will take our industrial capability to the next level,” he added.
Brunsdon said the new team structure consolidates a diverse range of experience across sales and leasing and expertise across the logistics sector.
“Strong local economic fundamentals continue to drive demand for logistics and industrial space, and the team is well-positioned to assist our clients to leverage this opportunity through the national platform including market-leading research, occupier and supply chain teams and services.” Brunsdon concluded.
