FABRIZIO Perilli, founder and managing director at Perifa, has been elected president of the Property Council of Australia’s NSW division for the next two years at its annual general meeting.
Perilli brings almost 30 years’ experience in the property industry across a number of management, construction and engineering roles to the position. He has been a member of Property Council committees since 2019, serving as chair of the building reform and regulation committee and then vice president of the NSW division since 2021.
Perilli said he was honoured to be selected as president of the NSW division of the Property Council of Australia and he looked forward to working with the Division Council and Property Council teams to ensure the industry was well positioned, as they engaged with the state government post this month’s election.
“We remain steadfast in our goal to make positive steps forward in meeting the challenges of housing supply, diversity and access, along with driving a substantial reform agenda to take the politics out of planning,” Perilli said.
Perilli will take up the role from outgoing president, Kim Gregory, who led the Property Council’s largest division through COVID and the return to office.
“On behalf of NSW members of the Property Council I thank Kim for her tireless efforts and commitment over many years, but never more so than in the past two years where her leadership, support and guidance was invaluable,” said Property Council’s acting NSW executive director, Adina Cirson.
Ten women and eight men were also appointed to Division Council for the same term at the AGM.
Michelle McNally, CEO Aware Real Estate, was elected vice president alongside Steven Bennett, direct CEO Charter Hall, who was also elected as vice president.
