KNIGHT Frank has appointed Neil Murray as head of occupier strategy and solutions, Australia, to be based in the firm’s Sydney office.
Murray’s 30-plus years’ experience began in the 1990s as a cadet in Knight Frank’s Parramatta office. He has worked across a diverse range of property services including asset management, leasing, operations, corporate real estate, funds management and development management for occupiers and investors in all market sectors.
He joins Knight Frank from Colliers, where he has been head of strategic advisory, and has also previously held senior roles at Westpac and Colonial First State.
Knight Frank CEO James Patterson said Neil was the right candidate to lead the firm’s occupier strategy and solutions team in Australia.
“Neil is well-connected and highly regarded by institutions, occupiers and clients,” he said.
“His excellent reputation, broad network and extensive experience will strengthen our offering across all areas of the occupier strategy and solutions space and the broader business.”
Occupier strategy and solutions includes strategic advisory, tenant representation, project management and building consultancy, workplace, global portfolio services and town planning teams.
Murray said he was excited to join Knight Frank and return to the business where his career began.
“Over the years since I was last at Knight Frank I have amassed a wealth of knowledge and expertise that I will bring to this new role,” he said.
