DIVERSIFIED property developer Young Group have completed their Custom Highett apartment project in Melbourne’s south-east, which was a pre-construction sell out success.
The 38 apartment-strong project at 18-20 Station Street, around 16km out from the CBD, is now seeing buyers move in after an owner-occupier dominated sales campaign.
“Custom Highett feels like it’s tucked away on a quiet and peaceful residential street, and you’re still located just 200 metres from the best shopping strip in the area,” Spring Yang, managing director at Young Group.
Downsizers accounted for a large sum of buyers at the development, due to its Highett location and easy access to the Highett Road Precinct and public transport.
“The Highett Road retail strip has a number of shops and cafes, as well as strong public transport infrastructure, which easily links Custom Highett residents with the rest of Melbourne,” added Yang.
The recently completed MAP Architects-designed building secured an average 7.8-star natHERS energy rating, in part due to the use of no combustible cladding in the façade materials.
Like in Custom Highett, Young Group’s latest project, Tomorrow, falls in line with the group’s strategy of identifying and acquiring sites in highly sought-after neighbourhoods that are anticipated to see rapid growth.
“Tomorrow is another project where we’ve started with a location, then sought to deliver residences that will benefit from amenity, accessibility and walkability, it’s ideally placed to enjoy the very best of Northcote – which was reported as Victoria’s most liveable suburb in the recent Future Victoria report by PwC,” said Yang.
“Tomorrow is located just minutes away from the banks of Northcote’s Merri Creek – and has been designed to connect residents to all that Northcote has to offer, both in terms of nature and retail.”
Young Group currently has three projects in the planning and approval process, including Young Oakleigh, Victoria Brunswick and Rose Essendon, with the latter two scheduled to launch in mid to late 2023.
