PEET Limited has promoted long-time employee Tony Gallagher to the new position of chief operating officer effective immediately.
Gallagher has worked for the real estate development company since 2013 with the position to hire internally an easy one as a result of Gallagher’s experience.
Tony has more than 25 years’ experience across property, construction and development where he’s helped deliver a number of very successful projects along the east coast of Australia. He has a Bachelor Business (Property) from RMIT in Melbourne and a Graduate Diploma in applied finance and investment.
The development of Peet’s strategy and operating performance has been integral to the growth of the company and Gallagher has played a very strong part in that. He leaves his role as regional general manager of the east coast business of Peet to take up the chief operating officer title.
His current role is still based in Melbourne where he will report directly to managing director and CEO of Peet, Brendan Gore. With the need to add a C.O.O to the ranks, Gore decided Gallagher was the best fit.
“This appointment is made in response to the company’s growth and its significant national portfolio of projects,” said Gore.
“On behalf of the Board, we congratulate Tony on his appointment to the position of COO and look forward to him continuing to contribute to the growth and success of Peet,” he added.
