CUSHMAN & Wakefield has strengthened its presence in the Asia Pacific with the internal cross border promotion of Mark Hansen.
Hansen has been promoted to international director of capital markets and investment sales and will be relocating from Sydney to Singapore.
“Investors are attracted to Australian and New Zealand commercial property for its potential for strong rental growth and capital appreciation. The country’s diverse economy provides a buffer against global economic uncertainty,” said Hansen.
“Outside of being a strong performing market, the transparency, ease of doing business and similar time zone makes doing business in the Pacific very straight forward from Singapore.”
Hansen will bring more than 15 years of experience in the capital markets sector across Australia to the role, having co-brokered some of the largest office assets across the region including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Canberra, Auckland and Wellington.
“A lot of global players continue to set up Asia Pacific Head Quarters, deploying capital via Singapore in search of Australian commercial assets, and Mark will be a valued asset on the ground with his strong network and expertise in this sector,” said Simon Fenn, Cushman & Wakefield’s managing director of Australia and New Zealand.
