JLL has appointed Martin James to head of industrial & logistics in South Australia, as the sector continues to thrive.
In returning to JLL – where he was formerly an associate director at the Adelaide industrial team for five-years – James will be reporting to JLL South Australia’s managing director Ben Parkinson.
“We look forward to welcoming Martin back to the industrial team and the wider JLL Adelaide office. Martin is a highly regarded and experienced property professional who brings an accomplished and valuable skill set to our business,” said Parkinson.
James will bring more than 30 years of experience in the industrial sector to the role, having worked in management, leasing, sales and development in the SA industrial market.
“His extensive industry experience and reputation will allow us to continue to provide the very best for our clients in the industrial space,” said Parkinson.
James has worked for federal, state and local government, as well as national property funds across the state, having most recently held the position of head of property development at Adelaide and Parafield Airports.
James has also been involved in projects with Mitsubishi Motors, Oz Minerals and Australian Clinical Labs in a commercial and industrial estate development, feasibility and master planning capacity.
“2021 activity for the industrial market in South Australia hit healthy levels, with no signs of slowing down this year. With emerging industries that are supportive of population growth, supply chain reconfiguration and the e-commerce boom, Adelaide will continue to drive occupier demand in 2022 and beyond,” concluded Parkinson.
