LENDLEASE Building will commence construction on the second stage of Cbus Property’s in-demand Newmarket Randwick masterplan next month.
This latest milestone for the masterplan project comes after the sales success of Young & Fennelly (Stage 2) and Jane St. Terraces (Stage 2A) and the recently achieved sellout status of all 165 residences in Stage 1.
“Our team is delighted to be delivering Young & Fennelly and Jane St. Terraces as integral releases of the Newmarket Randwick precinct under the expertise of Lendlease Building,” said Adrian Pozzo, CEO at Cbus Property.
Cbus Property’s appointment of Lendlease Building to deliver the stage will mark the first collaboration between the two.
“The appointment of such a pre-eminent construction company will ensure the highest quality outcome in the delivery of your new home and we are confident that Lendlease Building will complete the exceptional product of Newmarket’s second stage with the utmost attention to detail and finish,” said Pozzo.
The second stage of the masterplan places an emphasis on open space, amenity and the increased importance on the home made evident by the global pandemic, with both releases to benefit from their close proximity the Newmarket Dining retail piazza, completed as part of Stage 1.
Just one residence is still available at the Bates Smart-designed Young & Fennelly, after the May 2021 launch of the 116 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments at the seven-storey building, with the release also comprising 11 three-bedroom terraces.
While nine residences remain on the market out of the 15 three- and four-bedroom terraces at the SJB Architects designed Jane St. Terraces, launched last November.
Construction is set to begin next month, with completion for Jane St. Terraces scheduled for late-2023 and Young & Fennelly for early-2024.
“Lendlease Building is looking forward to working with Cbus Property on the second stage of the Newmarket Randwick masterplan as design and construction partner, to deliver high-quality, market-leading residences for the community,” concluded David Paterson, managing director of Lendlease Building.
Lendlease was last year appointed by the NSW government to construct Powerhouse Parramatta, set to be one of Australia’s largest structural engineering and architecturally complex projects.
