THE Australian arm of American real estate investment firm Sentinel Real Estate has made two appointments in support of its anticipated $1 billion development pipeline.
Anthony Cuzzupi, located in Melbourne joins as project director and, in Perth, Owen Altham joins as development manager.
Cuzzupi will manage the development of Sentinel’s projects in the eastern states and is currently focused on the delivery of Sentinel’s West Melbourne build-to-rent (BTR) venture at 164 Roden Street, as well as the company’s Melbourne acquisition pipeline.
Cuzzupi previously managed his own Melbourne-based property consultancy practice and served as project director for SHL and senior development manager for urban regeneration at Lendlease in Melbourne, and worked with Stockland, Frasers Property and CBRE.
In Perth, Altham will play a key role in the development of Sentinel’s upcoming BTR tower in Scarborough as well as the delivery of phases two and three of Sentinel’s flagship Australian BTR project, Element 27, in Subiaco.
Prior to joining Sentinel, Altham served as senior project manager at Sydney-based Astina Group and project manager at APP Corporation Pty Ltd in Perth.
Keith Lucas, managing director of Sentinel Fund Manager Australia, said: “Anthony and Owen’s development management expertise are incredibly valuable to the strength of our Australian pipeline. Their robust experience and knowledge of their local markets are bolstering our team’s ability to deliver premium build-to-rent projects across Australia as demand for the emerging model continues to flourish.”
Meanwhile, Ninghao Ho has relocated Sydney to support the acquisitions and investor services arenas following 10 years directing the company’s Singapore team and experience at Sentinel’s New York corporate headquarters.
