LANDCOM has appointed Selina Short to the board as independent non-executive director.
Short is currently the managing partner for EY Oceania Real Estate and Construction practice and a member of the EY Oceania Executive Leadership team, overseeing its real estate, resources and energy portfolio, as well as leading EY’s knowledge collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Real Estate Innovation Lab.
“Selina is an excellent addition the Board. She has significant experience in the sector with deep local and international relationships and a passion for innovation in real estate,” said Peter Roberts, Landcom chair.
“Selina has a strong track record as a strategic thinker and as a champion of liveable, sustainable cities as hubs of economic and community prosperity for future generations – values that align with Landcom’s vision.”
Additionally, Short is a foundation member of the Property Council’s National Cities Roundtable and of the Property Champions of Change.
“The Board look forward to working with Ms Short to continue to deliver on Landcom’s strategy to improve the supply, diversity and affordability of new housing,” added Roberts.
Short also sits on the board of the Summer Foundation, a not-for-profit which works to create and promote systemic change to prevent young disabled people from being forced into residential aged care.
“I have admired Landcom’s leadership and determination to create a legacy of sustainable places for some time. Landcom’s carbon neutral status, ambitious housing affordability targets and commitment to resilient, healthy and inclusive places are impressive examples of leadership in action,” said Short.
