CBRE has appointed Gerry Leyden to jointly lead its office tenant representation business Queensland as office occupiers evaluate their workplace strategies in the wake of COVID-19.
Leyden is currently a senior director in CBRE’s Queensland office leasing team. In the new role he will work alongside Boyd Kildey to grow CBRE’s advisory and transaction services – office occupier business.
CBRE’s Queensland senior managing director Bruce Baker said the business had grown exponentially over the past four years under Kildey’s leadership.
“Gerry’s move will further strengthen the team’s presence and reach in south east Queensland at a time when occupiers are laser-focused on their future workplace strategies,” he saiad.
“In tandem, there has been a significant market shift, whereby a growing number of small to medium enterprises are now engaging tenant representatives, providing significant growth opportunities for our occupier business.”
Leyden has 15 years of office leasing experience and has served as a senior director in CBRE’s Queensland investor leasing business for the past four years. He has completed transactions involving major corporate occupiers such as the Queensland Government, Aurizon, QIC, John Holland, Collection House and Santos.
