CONSTRUCTION has kicked off on the final apartment buildings at Frasers Property Australia’s Burwood Brickworks community in Melbourne’s east, next to its world-recognised sustainable shopping centre.
Hacer Group will deliver the last two buildings, known as The Terrace Collection and The Ardent Collection, which are over 70% sold.
The Terrace Collection will comprise 135 apartments across six levels while the Ardent Collection will comprise 94 homes in a five-storey building featuring a variety of one- and two-bedroom layouts.
Residents will have access to amenities including a modern gym, indoor and outdoor social and entertainment areas complete with a caterer’s kitchen, as well as a study and cinema room.
Hacer has built the previous four apartment buildings in the community, which are all completed and sold out.
The new apartment buildings will be centrally positioned within the development and orientated towards the village green.
“From day one of their new lives, future residents of these apartments will enjoy the exclusive amenities within the buildings as well as the convenience of the fully operational Burwood Brickworks shopping centre, adjoining urban plaza and eat street on their doorstep,” Frasers Property Australia general manager development, Victoria, Sarah Bloom said.
The Burwood Brickworks shopping centre was earlier this year formally recognised with Living Building Challenge Petal Certification by the International Living Future Institute, the global authority that administers the Living Building Challenge – becoming the first retail centre in the world to achieve the award.
Upon completion, the mixed-use community will have a mix of 750 freestanding and semi-detached terrace homes and apartments, 2.5 hectares of open space and parklands, community facility and two large public spaces.
Completion of the Rothelowman-designed The Terrace Collection and The Ardent Collection apartments is anticipated in mid-2023.
