INVESTA has made two new non-executive director appointments to its board in Jennifer Lambert and Rebecca McGrath.
Lambert will commence as a non-executive director of Investa Commercial Property Fund (ICPF) trustee board, Investa Wholesale Funds Management Limited (IWFML) and will also take on the role of chair of the Audit Risk and Compliance Committee.
As well as having served as a non-executive director of Investa Office Management Holdings Pty Ltd (IOMPLHL) previously, Lambert currently holds this position at REA Group, NEXTDC and BlueScope.
Lambert will bring experience in finance, property and leadership roles to the position, having formerly served as CFO of 151 Property and as a director at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
“I welcome Jennifer Lambert as a Director of IWFML, she brings extensive experience to the Board in the areas of tax, treasury, compliance and capital transactions, which will support the fund’s continued performance,” said David Baffsky, chairman of Investa.
Meanwhile, McGrath, who is currently a director of IWFML, has been appointed as a non-executive director of the IOMPLHL management board.
McGrath currently also holds board positions as chairman of Oz Minerals and as non-executive director at Macquarie Group and Goodman Group.
McGrath has over two decades of experience in leadership roles in Australia, the UK and Europe, having worked for 23 years at BP Group in roles such as executive director and CFO of BP Australia.
“I also welcome Rebecca McGrath to the IOMHPL Board. She brings a strategic global outlook to the role, with a strong understanding of the property sector and in-depth knowledge of operations, risk and finance,” added Baffsky.
The appointments come after the retirement of James Evans, who served on the board for the last 10 years as well as in the position, now occupied by Lambert, of chair of the Audit Risk and Compliance Committee.
“James has added significant value to the operation of the Boards through his expertise in the areas of funds management, finance and risk, and has been instrumental in facilitating the achievement of many significant milestones during his 10 years on the Board of IWFML,” said Baffsky.
Significantly in 2016, Evans oversaw the purchase of the Investa management platform from Morgan Stanley.
“I am delighted with the appointment of such high calibre independent directors to our Boards. The appointment of Jennifer and Rebecca, alongside recent changes to Investa’s leadership structure, positions the business for success as we strive to deliver ongoing investment outperformance and execute our business strategy,” concluded Baffsky.
