INVESTA Property Group has found its new chief financial officer in AMP’s Merran Edwards.
Edwards, who was the CFO at AMP Capital Real Estate, brings years of experience in senior finance and investment banking, as well as time in strategy roles in both the property and financial services sectors.
“Appointing a seasoned professional of Merran’s calibre to Investa’s Executive team and to lead the finance function is a fantastic outcome for the business and will support our ability to deliver outperformance across our investment funds and operations as we scale and diversify our business,” said Peter Menegazzo, CEO at Investa, who himself was promoted to lead the company in June of this year.
Prior to her time as CFO at AMP, Edwards worked as the head of international strategy at the group.
“I am excited to be appointed to the role of CFO at Investa. Joining a company that has such a strong reputation and track record in the industry is an exceptional opportunity,” said Edwards.
Edwards has also served in senior consulting roles at Fife Capital, Fort Street Advisors and UBS where she advised clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, capital management, equity and debt.
“I look forward to working with the Executive Committee and the Finance team to drive the company strategy forward and contribute to the continued strong performance of Investa’s funds, operations and real estate portfolio,” added Edwards.
This follows Investa’s most recent appointment of Michael Hogg to head up the group’s build-to-rent platform.
Edwards will be replacing Ivan Gorridge, the current CFO, who has worked at the company for the past 17 years.
“I would like to thank our current CFO, Ivan Gorridge for his leadership and significant contribution to Investa over the last 17 years. He has been a valued member of the Executive team who has overseen Investa’s financial success through multiple cycle,” said Menegazzo.
