KNIGHT Frank has appointed Demi Carigliano and Anthony Pirrottina as new joint heads of its South Sydney office.
Promoting from within, Cargliano and Pirrottina will take on the new leadership positions after serving in their current roles of associate director of investment sales.
“Our South Sydney office will benefit from being led by Demi and Anthony, who are experienced and well respected, being highly-skilled experts and great motivators, who get the job done,” said Paul Roberts, national head of agency at Knight Frank.
Nick Sinclair has been working in the role temporarily since Mark Silva left for Western Sydney in 2020.
Both Cargliano and Pirrottina have worked at Knight Frank since 2014, when they joined as capital markets analysts.
“Demi and Anthony have excelled at building momentum in the emerging South Sydney commercial property market to date, which has plenty of development and investment opportunities,” added Roberts.
Cargliano has had seven years of experience working in the South Sydney market, whereas Pirrottina began in North Sydney, before coming to work in the south and inner west.
Cargliano and Pirrottina negotiated deals in the their previous positions including the sale of 40-76 William Street, Leichhardt for circa $38 million and 138-140 Cronulla Street, Cronulla for $18.75 million.
“Development sites in particular have continued to be sought after by buyers, and we know that following the easing of restrictions we will see a significant pick-up in activity across the board,” said Pirrottina.
The pair completed 11 deals in 11 weeks at the end of June, raking in a total of $67.39 million in investment and development properties.
Knight Frank has made a number of appointments and promotions in recent months following the appointment of a new CEO, in the former head of CEO of Cushman & Wakefield ANZ, James Patterson, including most recently Duncan Schieb as senior sales executive for the group’s prestige residential team in Sydney.
While Knight Frank also expanded its Perth team with two new appointments as activity ramps up in the commercial property market and in WA the group formed a partnership with Mack Hall Real Estate to jointly tackle Perth’s in demand luxury residential market.
