VICTORIA-based construction group 2Construct has been selected by Frasers Property Industrial to deliver a new facility at its 4Ten Epping industrial estate, with an end value estimated at $62 million.
The purpose built adjoining 5,760sqm office and 15,010sqm warehouse facilities will be constructed in Melbourne’s north, utilising 750 tonnes of steel.
As well as the facilities for tenants Crusader Caravans and Intel Engineering, a 16,972sqm speculative facility will be built with Cooper Street frontage.

2Construct was appointed to deliver the development due to its expertise in multi-faceted construction projects, having recently completed major civil and civic projects such as Melbourne’s Southbank Promenade.
“This is the beginning of a valued partnership to manage, create and construct smarter industrial spaces,” said Tony Venier, construction manager at 2Construct.
Sitting within the 62-hectare master planned 4Ten Epping industrial estate, the facilities will include high clearance warehouse space, state-of-the-art offices , recessed loading docks and on-grade rolling doors.
The buildings will also target a 5 Star Green Star Design & As Built v 1.3 rating and boast 125kW rooftop solar panels.
The surrounding estate features easy transport linkages, sitting 18km outside of the Melbourne CBD, 12km from Tullamarine Airport and 22km from the Port of Melbourne. Additionally it will be served by the North East link, which is set for a 2027 completion.
While also recently promoting Ian Barter to executive general manager, Australia and in July, along with Frasers Property Australia, achieving WELL recertification, in a country first.
The three-tenant facility at 4Ten Epping is scheduled for practical completion in the first quarter of 2022.
