THE Property Council’s Queensland division is looking for two new leaders after chief operating officer Kathy Mac Dermott and Queensland executive director Chris Mountford announced their departure.
Mac Dermott has decided to pursue non-executive director board roles and build a consulting practice. Mountford will take up the role of CEO of Independent Schools Queensland.
Mac Dermott is leaving the PCA after 10.5 years.
“It has been a wonderful time, first as Queensland executive director and for the past 6.5 years as chief operating officer. I have been given extraordinary opportunities and it has been extremely rewarding working closely with CEO Ken Morrison, my colleagues on the executive team and our Property Council people across the country at a time of major cultural and commercial transformation of the organisation.
“It has been amazing working with our members on our diversity initiatives, particularly the formation of the Property Champions of Change, our 500 Women in Property sponsorship program and the 40:40:20 campaign to increase the number of women in the Property Council’s 2,243 committee roles to 44%,” she added.
PCA chief executive Ken Morrison paid tribute to both executives and said they have been instrumental to the council’s success for over a decade and leave tremendous legacies.
“Both have been exceptional and we wish them every success in their new endeavours.” Morrison said.
Mountford joined the PCA in 2009, becoming Queensland executive director in 2014.
