REAL estate agents platform UrbanX has recruited former Ray White COO Gavin Croft to lead the company’s growth program.
Croft has been appointed director of growth, having held a string of high-profile positions including Queensland state manager for Landmark Harcourts, sales director and head auctioneer for BresicWhitney in Sydney, and COO for Ray White New Zealand.
Croft said now was an exciting time to be joining UrbanX as it spearheads an upheaval of the old ‘franchise down’ real estate agency model.
“I’m really excited about this new role with UrbanX, and being at the forefront of our industry’s evolution.
“Agency has gone through enormous change since I started my career, and that change is only going to speed up in the next few years. Frankly, the future will be nothing like the past,” Croft said.
“After so long working at the executive-level of large franchise groups, I’ve seen how the relationship between businesses, their agents and customers has transformed. Realising what someone’s looking for with work satisfaction and goals and helping them achieve that is really important. It’s not just about listing and selling real estate.
“Also, we need to better understand what today’s consumers need from a real estate agent and how we can support that. By infusing the agent and consumers needs together, we’re able to help both better achieve better outcomes,” he added.
