AGENTS Knight Frank has bolstered its Perth office leasing team with the appointment qualified valuer Rick McKenzie, as tenant enquiry and outlook picks up following the pandemic and the recent state election.
McKenzie has been appointed associate director, office leasing and joins from CBRE, where he was Senior negotiator for advisory and transaction services.
Prior to that, he was a Certified Practising Valuer at Opteon Property Group.
Knight Frank Partner and joint head of office leasing Ian Edwards said his experience would assist the business in providing an enhanced service offering to clients.
“He has more than 10 years’ experience in the property industry through both valuation and agency roles.
“His background as a licensed valuer, combined with his successful career specialising in office leasing across the Perth CBD, West Perth and Subiaco markets will bring great benefit to the Knight Frank business and our clients,” he added.
Edwards said activity in the Perth CBD office leasing market was starting to increase following the pandemic, with the outlook optimistic.
“Perth has weathered COVID-19 well, with minimal lockdowns, and businesses are increasingly positive particularly due to relatively strong economic fundamentals in our state,” he said. “We are starting to see greater tenant enquiry and more activity across all office sectors which is why we are growing our team.”
“The strong rebound in the Perth office market in 2021 has delivered the opportune time for me to join the business and I look forward to partnering with both our existing and new clients in delivering outstanding real estate outcomes for all stakeholders.” Edwards said.
